OBJECTIVE:

A launch event, in which ContActive played a key PR role, was held to announce the arrival of a number of new HDD and SDD products that had been added to Western Digital’s range. The purpose of the event was to raise immediate awareness in Russia of the new products through a bold online media campaign.

WHY COOL:

A number of different new product ranges were featured in the campaign, with advertising reaching each product’s target audience through extensive use of the leading online media channels available in Russia.

WOW RESULTS:

In all, 18 of these leading IT-related media channels published a total of 23 reviews, with four channels testing two or three products each. In each case, the response was enthusiastic, with emphasis being placed on the strengths of the drives when compared to those offered by Western Digital’s competitors.
